Well I'm sure both of you reading this (Daisy & Crazy_Squaw) know pretty much all there is to know about me. But I'm going to blog anyway! Around 7 of the 13 years that I've been married, I've tried to get pregnant. #FAIL. So now I'm a foster mom. I have 4 kids UNDER the age of 4. They are all full blood siblings and yes that means their bio mom spends more time pregnant than not.
So, I've been feeding my precious babies the same things I ate. Chicken nuggets, french fries, tator tots, steak fingers, oh here's some green beans, etc. I know why most kids are raised on this. It's EASY, and I'm all about easy! But I've also struggled with my weight for my entire adulthood. I eat when I'm sad, happy, lonely, dopey, sneezy, sleepy, etc. So I'm now making an effort to prepare more healthful, non fast food type foods. I've recently discovered a website called http://crockpotgirls.com/ and they ROCK! I've always been a fan of my crockpot. I'd throw some frozen chicken in and top it with salsa and 6-8 hours later....YUM! But now I've got these 4 kids and 3 of them want to eat at 6pm on the dot, but my husband doesn't get home from work until 6:30 or later. Problem solved! I throw ingredients into the crock and my kids eat on time and my husband and I eat whenever we get a dang minute! It's been working out great so far! Also, if you've never tried crock pot liners, they are the best invention! There's no mess, just a quick wash of the crock to get rid of the last meal's odor!
